Do you ever take a cut of my sales?

Never. Niblr charges a flat hosting fee — 0% of your sales. You connect your own payment keys (Stripe, Razorpay and more) and money settles straight to your bank. We never touch it.

Which currency will I be billed in?

Your plan price follows your store’s default currency — stores set to INR see the India price book, everything else the Global (USD) book, and GCC stores can view AED at a fixed rate. While we finish wiring regional billing, subscriptions are charged in USD; the ₹ and AED figures are shown for reference. It tracks the market your store sells into, not where you’re based.

Will I pay VAT on my subscription?

If your billing address is somewhere we’re registered for VAT, yes — it’s added at checkout on top of the plan price, and it appears on your Stripe invoice. Today that means the UAE, at 5%: a $19 plan comes to $19.95. Everywhere else there’s nothing to add, so you pay the listed price. This is tax on our subscription to you, and it’s separate from any VAT you charge your own customers — that one is yours to configure in Settings → Tax.

What counts as a “store”?

One storefront with its own catalog, domain and checkout. Free, Starter and Growth are single-store. Running many stores from one account is the Agency plan and up — that’s where multi-tenancy lives.

Is the software really free?

Yes. The single-store build is MIT-licensed and free to self-host forever, and the licence is the part that matters — it means nobody can take it back. The public repo is being prepared now; until it lands, self-hosting is available on request and we will say so plainly rather than link you to a page that doesn’t exist. Hosted plans are for people who’d rather we ran it. Prefer to self-host but want updates and support? That’s the managed add-on.

Are the calculator’s figures exact?

The percentage is. Shopify publishes a third-party transaction fee of 2% on Basic, 1% on Grow and 0.6% on Advanced when you use any gateway other than Shopify Payments — that is the fee the calculator models, and Niblr’s equivalent is 0%. The subscription line is approximate, because Shopify’s local price books differ from its US list price. What the calculator deliberately does not count: your gateway’s own processing rate. You pay Stripe, Razorpay or whichever gateway you connect the same either way, and we would be lying if we called that a saving.

So Niblr doesn’t reduce my card processing fees?

Correct, and we won’t pretend otherwise. Your gateway sets that rate and bills you directly — we are never in the payment flow. What changes is everything layered on top: no platform cut, no penalty for choosing your own gateway, and the freedom to switch to a cheaper rail (UPI in India, a locally negotiated rate in the UAE) and keep 100% of that improvement.
